New Things Are Blossoming: Healthy Roots Dolls New Look

We have a new logo!  Healthy Roots Dolls is growing, and we wanted a fresh new look to celebrate changes to come. 

Healthy Roots Dolls is a multicultural children’s product company celebrating the beauty of our diversity. What started as a class project has grown into a brand representing the voices of young girls in the toy industry with products that empower, educate and inspire self-love. 

Our mission is to bring curl power to the toy aisle with products that reflect the diversity of our reality.

Our original logo and branding were created by our Founder/ CEO Yelitsa Jean-Charles while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design. It was meant to represent the diversity of the African diaspora that our first line of products, the Curlfriends, featured. 

Our new logo represents the growth that Healthy Roots Dolls has experienced since it was founded in 2015 and ties back to Yelitsa’s cultural roots in Haiti. Featured in our new logo is the Hibiscus flower, which is the native flower of Haiti. It is representative of growth, beauty, and power. These are all traits that we want to reflect in the products we design for children to embody.

One year ago, we decided to update our brand’s logo to represent the growth that we want children to experience through our products and connecting back to their roots. You’ll see our new logo on our website, on our packaging, social media, and more.
